About Florida Gun Pros (FGP)
At Florida Gun Pros, we are Certified Firearm Instructors providing firearms training and safety-related services for the Central Florida area. We are uniquely qualified and provide Beginner Handgun and safety training within the Florida state requirements. We offer FREE LECTURES to small groups of Seniors, Women and Mothers with children (see Gun Safety for Kids) upon request where we will be happy to present and discuss self-defense strategies as an introduction to any of our classes whether it be “Don’t Be A Victim”, “Beginner Handgun” or “Florida Concealed Carry.”
A few things we’re great at…
Daniel Plumey Sr., is a Military Veteran and Former Law Enforcement Officer and Lead Instructor certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA) for pistol instruction. Also holds a Certification in Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism by the University of Georgetown.
Basic Pistol
Basic pistol knowledge, skill and attitude. To teach how to draw from a holster, how to react to pistol malfunctions, and how to further personal training in order to develop lifesaving defensive pistol skills.
Concealed Weapons Class
This course is designed based on the NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course but it is not an NRA course. Prerequisites: Demonstration of basic pistol knowledge, skill and attitude.
Defensive Firearm Training
Techniques for continued training At the end of the class you have a working understanding and ability to draw from concealment to protect yourself and your family.
Host a Gun Class
Host a party in your location (home or office) and the host/hostess gets a discount for their training. The size of the discount depends on the number of guests. You could even get complimentary free training based on the number of guests you bring.
Note to Military Members and Veterans
The Department is now expediting all Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License applications submitted by active military members and veterans.
Active military personnel who want to apply for a concealed weapon license should include a copy of their Common Access Card or other form of official military identification with their applications. The department will also accept a copy of service members’ current orders as proof of active duty status.

Free Classes for Seniors
We offer free lectures to small groups of Seniors, Women and Mothers with children (see Gun Safety for Kids)
Child Safety Classes ages 5-17
Teaching kids to be safe shooters doesn’t call for much sense of humor. Treat the topic seriously, and children will respond.
Safety Tips for Home Defense
“Don’t be a Victim” as a handgun free way to orient yourself to situational awareness of things that could potentially happen in the home.
